EN AW-6061 is een gemakkelijk verkrijgbare legering met een goede oppervlakteafwerking en het vermogen om te worden geanodiseerd. Gemakkelijk te lassen en te solderen met een mooie oppervlakteafwerking. Weerstand tegen corrosie door zeewater en atmosferische omstandigheden. Geschikt voor warm smeden.
